David St. John, Beloved TV Producer of 'I Am Jazz' and 'America's Next Top Model,' Passes Away at 56 in Seattle
Seattle, Washington – David St. John, a cherished executive producer known for his work on hit reality TV series such as America’s Next Top Model and I Am Jazz, has tragically passed away at the age of 56.
St. John, who battled pancreatic cancer, passed on December 19, 2024, at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. His death was confirmed by his agency, UTA.
He was deeply respected in the entertainment industry, with his work spanning over decades. St. John was the executive producer of TLC’s I Am Jazz, a groundbreaking series about transgender teen Jazz Jennings, which earned a GLAAD Media Award. He also worked on The Ts Madison Experience, chronicling the career of trans talk show host Ts Madison.
Known for his incredible dedication, St. John started his career at MTV before working his way up as a producer on America's Next Top Model. Over the years, he co-executive produced more than 100 episodes of the iconic competition series.
Bobby Schermerhorn, a close friend, expressed his grief, writing, “No words can describe how much we will all miss David St. John. The best friend anyone could ever wish for. Love you forever and always, DSJ.”
