Daniel Reiter, Beloved Tomahawk Community Member, Tragically Dies in Head-On Collision Near Rhinelander, Wisconsin
Tomahawk, Wisconsin – On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Tomahawk community was devastated by the sudden passing of Daniel Reiter, 58, in a fatal head-on crash near Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
The tragic accident occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. on U.S. 8, at the intersection with Spring Creek Road. Daniel was driving a Toyota sedan when a GMC pickup truck, traveling west, crossed the center line and collided with his vehicle. Despite the swift response from first responders, Daniel succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Daniel, a well-known counselor at Tomahawk High School, was cherished by many for his warm personality and dedication to the students he served. Michelle Nelson, a former student, shared her heartfelt tribute: “He was always so understanding, wise, and real with us.
