Cheryl Bottorff, 67, Tragically Dies in Central City Fire, Leaving Family and Friends Heartbroken

Somerset County, Pennsylvania – Cheryl Bottorff, a 67-year-old woman from Central City, tragically lost her life in a devastating house fire early on Tuesday morning, February 18, 2025.

According to officials, the fire broke out at approximately 1 a.m., and Cheryl was pronounced dead at the scene around 8 a.m., nearly seven hours later. She was the sole occupant of the home, located in the 900-block of Lohr Street.

The cause and manner of death are still pending an official autopsy, but the local community has already begun to share their sorrow.
